Our Journey

History & Milestones

Celebrating over a decade of growth, achievement, and impact

2010

Foundation Established

SSMC Alumni Association Abroad was founded by a group of dedicated graduates living overseas, with the vision to create a global network of medical professionals from Sir Salimullah Medical College.

2013

First Global Conference

Successfully organized our inaugural global conference in London, bringing together 300+ alumni from 25 countries for networking and professional development.

2016

501(c)(3) Status Achieved

Received official recognition as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States, enabling tax-deductible donations and expanding our charitable reach.

2019

Digital Platform Launch

Launched our comprehensive digital platform including member directory, job board, and online learning resources, enhancing global connectivity among members.

2022

Global Expansion

Expanded to 40+ countries with active chapters in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, establishing ourselves as one of the largest medical alumni networks.

2024

New Headquarters

Inaugurated our permanent headquarters in New York City, serving as the central hub for all global operations and member services.
